A DRIVER believed to have a fictional name abandoned a vehicle in Old Sarum last night.

Salisbury Police received a number of calls with concerns about a vehicle being driven dangerously in the area, before the car entered the Old Sarum estate around 11.55pm.

The vehicle – a blue Peugeot 206 – was described as being driven erratically, with an exhaust pipe hanging off.

Officers attended the area and located the vehicle abandoned in Partridge Way.

The car has damage to the rear bumper and was recovered by Ashleywood Recovery.

The registered owner of the vehicle has not yet been identified, but is believed by police to have a fictional name.

Officers are conducting CCTV enquiries with local businesses.
