DURRINGTON’S Sunday Funday returns this month, celebrating its 10th anniversary.
This year’s event at the recreation ground will be raising money for the Stars Appeal Radnor ICU Fund at Salisbury District Hospital, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and other local groups.
Co-founders Dion and Emma Spencer said: “It’s mainly aimed at the kids, so there’s stuff going on all afternoon, keeping them entertained and bringing the community together whilst making a few pennies for local charities.
“We are very proud to say we have raised more than £15,000 over the past nine years which we’ve be able to donate to small local charities, groups and individuals in need.”
There will be fun and games all day, with Disco Dion leading the celebrations. Attractions include stalls, car boot, face painting, bouncy castles, prize raffle as well as food stalls and a bar - all mixed in with fun and games on the main arena. As well as the Funday, there will be music at Retro in the Rec, the evening before.
Retro in the Rec takes place on Saturday, August 24 from 5.30pm to 10.30pm, followed by Sunday Funday on the Sunday from midday to 4pm.
