YOU can now "bring the science class into your own home" with special science packs designed by Salisbury City Council.

The council say the packs will contain "all the equipment and instructions to enable your child to create five different practical experiments from the safety of your own home".

They are aimed at children aged between seven and 11, and will let children "create their own hovercrafts, oboes, rockets and more with simple, easy to follow instructions"

As well as the equipment and materials required for the five experiments, the pack will also contain a set of instructions that guide you through the experiments and explain the science behind them to aid with understanding.

Additionally, included will be two colouring sheets complete with a pack of pencils and a quiz for your child to test their knowledge of space, biology, chemistry and physics.

The packs cost £3.50 (including delivery and VAT) and are exclusively available for residents of Salisbury.

All proceeds from this will go into funding community activities for families in the Salisbury area.
