Mississippi State lost a commitment from its 2020 class on Tuesday night.

Whitehaven OLB Tamarion McDonald announced that he has decommitted from MSU.

“After a lot of thinking and talking to my mom…I am deciding to decommit from Mississippi State University,” McDonald wrote on Twitter.

The Memphis native might be heading to another SEC program. His Whitehaven teammate Bryson Eason committed to the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday night. Eason, McDonald and fellow Whitehaven LB Martavius French have taken recruiting visits together. The trio visited UT the weekend of Oct. 4 and Arkansas this past weekend. French decommitted from Arkansas after this weekend’s visit.

McDonald, a 3-star outside linebacker on the 247Sports Composite, had pledged to the Bulldogs on May 25. He has 12 scholarship offers at this time.

MSU’s 2020 class still has 22 commitments.
