Nakobe Dean, a 5-star uncommitted linebacker out of Horn Lake, Miss., is in Montgomery, Ala. for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. Not surprisingly, his recruitment was a popular topic with the media.

Dean is set to reveal his commitment on Dec. 19. This late in the game, most recruits aren’t going to spill many details or tip their hand. In the opinion of Dawg Nation’s Jeff Sentell, Dean’s statements on what was most unique about Alabama and Georgia offer the most insight on the highly sought-after linebacker’s recruitment:

Alabama: “All the culture. The type of coaches they bring to the table and how will I feel and where I fit in at the university and how they will develop me on and off the field.”

Georgia: “The same. The culture. It is just they have a similar culture as ‘Bama but it is a little different feel at Georgia. Little more of a ‘homey’ feel. It is business but it is a little less. It is business.”

Listed at 6-foot, 220 pounds, Dean is ranked the No. 1 recruit from Mississippi, No. 1 linebacker and No. 14 overall prospect for the class of 2019.
