Albany man accused of sexually assaulting girl, 13

ALBANY — An Albany man is suspected of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, according to a criminal complaint filed in Stearns County District Court.

Adam Joseph Wiechmann, 19, is charged with one count fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The Albany Police Department responded to a report of sexual assault at 6:05 a.m. Feb. 16 at a residence in Albany. According to the complaint, an officer met with three witnesses who said the victim had been sexually assaulted by Wiechmann who was a household guest.

The victim told police Wiechmann showed her pictures of girls he had slept with on his phone, including a photo of a 14-year-old girl, according to the complaint. The victim said Wiechmann later touched her around her waist, legs and genitals.

The victim later told her sister about the incident, the complaint said, and she confronted Wiechmann and told him to leave.

Wiechmann admitted to touching the child and stated he knew what he did was wrong, according to the complaint.

Wiechmann was arrested Wednesday and taken to the Stearns County Jail. He made his first court appearance Friday and his next hearing scheduled for March 4, according to court records.
