With multiple running backs expected to miss Thursday's preseason opener, the Seahawks added depth at that spot Wednesday, signing Xavier Turner, an undrafted rookie out of Tarleton State. Cornerback Davante Davis, an undrafted rookie out of Texas, was waived/injured to make room on the 90-man roster.

Turner, who began his college career at Navarro Junior College, rushed for 2,234 yards and 33 touchdowns over the past two years for Tarleton State, including 1,469 yards and 22 touchdowns on 228 carries last season.

Turner initially signed with the Arizona Cardinals following the draft. He was waived by Arizona on Friday.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that running backs C.J. Prosise (hip) and Travis Homer (quadriceps) will both miss Thursday's game. J.D. McKissic, a return specialist who can also play running back, will be a game-day decision.

The Seahawks and Broncos will meet on Monday Night Football at Lumen Field. Take a look back at photos from past games played between the two teams.
