More inclement weather has resulted in a new slew of closures and event cancellations in Seattle.

With the National Weather Service forecasting several more inches of snow and rain, more events and attractions around the Seattle area have been closed, postponed or canceled.

Here are the latest events and attractions to be closed or canceled. This list is not comprehensive; if you don’t find what you’re looking for here, please check event websites and social media to see if your event has been canceled.

Schools

  • The University of Washington has suspended all operations at its Seattle, Tacoma and Bothell campuses on Tuesday due to continued snow accumulation. Classes, events and other activities will be canceled. Seattle University, Seattle Pacific, University of Puget Sound and Evergreen State College also are closed Tuesday.
  • Classes, activities and events at Bellevue College, Seattle Central College, South Seattle College, North Seattle College and Skagit Valley College are canceled Tuesday. Shoreline, Everett, Edmonds, Highline, Tacoma, South Puget Sound and Green River community colleges also are closed Tuesday.
  • Seattle Public Schools are closed Tuesday. Lake Washington, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Kent, Auburn, Renton, Highline, Federal Way, Tukwila, Puyallup, Fife, Enumclaw, Tacoma, University Place, Olympia, Bremerton, Central Kitsap, South Kitsap, Bainbridge Island, Vashon Island, San Juan Island, Shoreline, Northshore, Edmonds, Marysville, Arlington, Darrington, Stanwood, Snohomish, Mount Vernon, Burlington-Edison and Bellingham school districts also are closed Tuesday.
  • All classes and campus activities at The Art Institute of Seattle for Tuesday have been canceled.

Attractions, amenities and resources

  • Seattle Public Utilities won’t collect residential garbage, recycling or food/yard waste Tuesday. The utility tweeted that crews would try to pick up Monday customers’ bins on Wednesday and would continue on a delayed schedule through the weekend, weather permitting.
  • All King County Library System locations will reopen at noon Tuesday, except the Boulevard Park branch, which is closed for a remodel.
  • The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) will reopen at noon Tuesday.
  • The Woodland Park Zoo is closed Tuesday.
  • The Museum of Flight was closed Monday but is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
  • The Seattle Children’s Theatre canceled all drama classes for Monday and Tuesday.
  • Seattle Public Library locations have modified hours for Tuesday and will publish branch-specific information after 9:30 a.m. Below are the hours from Monday:
    • The Central Library locations was open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • The following locations were open noon to 6 p.m.: Ballard, Beacon Hill, Broadview, Capitol Hill, Columbia, Douglass-Truth, Greenwood, Lake City, Northgate,  Rainier Beach, Southwest
    • The following locations were open 1-6 p.m.: Delridge, Green Lake, High Point,  International District/Chinatown, Magnolia, Montlake, NewHolly, Queen Anne, South Park, University, Wallingford
    • The following branches remained closed all day Monday: Fremont, Madrona-Sally Goldmark, Northeast, West Seattle
  • All Hugo House classes and events originally scheduled for Monday, Feb. 11, were canceled.

Events

  • The Seattle Athenaeum and Journalism and Women Symposium’s panel, “Beyond the Borders: How Foreign Correspondents Navigate an Increasingly Hostile World,” originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed to March 25.
  • Samuel Sinyangwe’s lecture at the University of Washington Graduate School on Wednesday has been canceled. Organizers are working to reschedule it and plan to email the new date to all registered attendees.
  • The Ladies Musical Club of Seattle has canceled its Wednesday, Feb. 13, concert at the Seattle Public Library’s Central Branch.
  • All North East Seattle Together (NEST) events have been canceled through Thursday, Feb. 14.
  • Northwest Trek Wildlife Park’s Kids ‘n’ Critters event on Feb. 16-18 has been rescheduled for March 9-10. The park is closed until 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15.
  • Doug Walsh’s author talk for “Tailwinds Past Florence” on Monday, Feb. 11, at Third Place Books was canceled. The event will be rescheduled for a later date.
  • Solmaz Sharif’s Seattle Arts and Lectures talk on Monday, Feb. 11, was canceled.
  • Justin Timberlake’s concerts scheduled for Sunday and Monday, Feb. 10-11, at the Tacoma Dome were canceled and won’t be rescheduled.
  • Author Stephanie Land’s reading of “Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay and a Mother’s Will to Survive” at Elliott Bay Book Company on Monday, Feb. 11, was canceled.
  • All performances and events at the Frye Art Museum on Tuesday, Feb. 12 have been canceled.
  • The Sunset’s show on Tuesday, Feb. 12 has been canceled.
  • Village Theatre’s evening performance of “I Do! I Do!” on Tuesday, Feb.12 has been canceled.
  • The Delfonics performances at Jazz Alley on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 12-13 have been rescheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, April 30-May 1.
  • Johnny Mathis’s performance at the Paramount Theatre on Wednesday, Feb. 13 has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 7.
