BSF Shillong organized ‘Mission Vision’ at Shella border areas

SHILLONG: Continuing its endeavour of providing medicare at the doorsteps of the border inhabitants, Composite Hospital, BSF, Shillong organized another camp in the Border area at Shella on Saturday.

During this camp more than 70 male and female patients got their dental checkup done and were provided with required medication and advice. As a follow-up action of the eye-screening camp organized in this area on January 9 and 10, altogether 111 border inhabitants were provided with vision corrective glasses under the ‘Mission Vision’.

The camp was inaugurated by Medical Superintendent of the Composite Hospital, BSF Dr AC Bhardwajan, DIG and Commandant 123 Bn BSF, Rajashekar KN. Speaking on the occasion, the Headman of the area thanked the BSF in general and the Composite Hospital, BSF in particular for extending such service at the doorsteps of the border inhabitants. He expressed gratitude to the BSF for providing vision corrective glasses to the patients.

Concluding the camp, BSF DIG (Dr) Bhardwajan assured the population that such camps will be conducted regularly and appealed to them to spread the message to others, so that more and more border inhabitants can avail of the facilities provided by the BSF Hospital, Shillong.

It is pertinent to note that under the ‘Mission Vision’, the BSF has provided not only the vision corrective glasses but also arranged operation of cataract patients.
