Innovative spinning machine unveiled in Manipur

Guwahati: Manipur witnessed an innovative technology in its recently held event wherein the Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen of the state inaugurated the Innovative Solar Silk Reeling cum Spinning Machine. This innovative machine designed by Manoharmayum Manihar Sharma is hoped to bring a positive transformation into the state.

The event, organized by Renu Handloom and Handicraft Co-operative Society Ltd, was meant to showcase the reeling cum solar machine and to spread the words of advantages of using this machine to the weavers and other unemployed people who are looking for a reliable source of income in the weaving industry.

The state minister, Nemcha, speaking on the occasion, expressed that with the incorporation of this innovating reeling cum spinning machine that runs especially on solar power, is a successful venture developed by innovator Manoharmayum Manihar Sharma. Utilizing this machine, the Renu Handloom and Handicraft Co-Operative Society Ltd will be able to produce more silk products in the near future and there is no doubt about that.

The good thing about this machine is that it is pretty cost-effective and can be operated in a low budget as well. The solar power quality of this spinning machine will make it easily usable for the all the weavers of the state along with also proving to be useful for the Manipur government. The minister appealed to all the weavers for utilizing such machine developed in the state as it will boost the economy of the State.

The minister also took to laud Manoharmayum Manihar Sharma the innovator behind the innovation of such a magnificent machine. Moreover, Renu Arambam, the Founder/Secretary of the Renu Handloom and Handicraft Cooperative Society Ltd too is appreciated by the ministers for her selfless determinations. Renu’s dedication towards the society and her endearing efforts for economically uplifting the poor and needy through this cooperative society is widely praised by the minister.

Notably, Renu Handloom and Handicraft Cooperative Society Ltd. has around 40 branches across the State and in different parts of the country and abroad.

Apart from the state minister, other notable persons present in the event were J C Ramthanga, Principal Secretary, Co-operation, Government of Manipur; P N Praveen Kumar, the general manager of NABARD Regional Office along with Renu Arambam.

Other than the inauguration of the spinning machine, the innovator also demonstrated the process of running the machine to the audiences visiting the event.
