ONGC To Reimburse Travelling Allowance In Guwahati And Jorhat Centres

GAURISAGAR: The ONGC is taking all possible measures to ensure smooth conduct of the recruitment examination for 308 non-executive posts in Assam and a decision has been taken to reimburse travelling allowance for appearing in Computer Based Test (CBT) on the re-scheduled date to the candidates who could not appear due to technical difficulties in Guwahati and Jorhat centres. Re-scheduled date, time and venue will be communicated in due course of time.

ONGC expressed concern for the inconvenience caused due to the technical difficulties in three examination centres – Assam Online in Guwahati, GATE in Guwahati and Global Engineering Academy in Jorhat – during the ongoing computer based test.

It may be mentioned here that in response to ONGC advertisement No. 01/2019, for recruitment of 308 non-executive posts in Assam, 31,290 candidates having domicile in Assam are appearing in the online computer based test being conducted through an experienced independent agency.

Considering the huge number of applicants, Computer Based Test (CBT) is being held in 12 centres across six places –Sivasagar, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Guwahati and Silchar between June 14 to June 19. Due to technical difficulties, online computer based test (CBT) could not be conducted smoothly on June 14 in two centres in Guwahati and one in Jorhat.
