GUWAHATI: Assam thrashed Arunachal Pradesh by 10 wickets in the Vijay Hazare Cricket tournament match at Dehradun today. Assam needed just 113 runs to win the match and the side reached the target in 14.3 overs without losing a single wicket.

Opener Pallab Das, who scored a half-century, remained not out on 76. He faced just 40 balls and hit 8 boundaries and 4 sixes. His opening partner Sarupam Purkayastha played 47 balls to score unbeaten 36 (4X1, 6X1).

Earlier Elected to bat, Arunachal Pradesh bowled out 112 in 40.1 overs. Opener Obi (29) and Rahul Dalal (27) were the major contributors in the innings. Riyan Parag (4-27) came out with the best bowling figure. Pritam Das (3-23) also bowled well in the match.
