HELENA – The Independence Day holiday is just a few weeks away and those in the Helena area should mark their calendars for Wednesday, July 3, as the city’s annual Fourth of July Celebration, sponsored by the city of Helena and the Helena Business Association, will feature plenty of fun for everyone.

The festivities will get started at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, in the Old Town Helena area where there will be plenty of vendors, musical entertainment, food trucks and of course, fireworks to cap off the celebration.

With the Independence Day holiday falling on a Thursday this year, the citywide celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 3, with the fireworks show set to begin promptly at 9 p.m.

To help fund the fireworks show, the Helena Business Association is encouraging those who attend to purchase an official Fourth of July T-shirt prior to the event. The T-shirts were designed by a local Helena student and cost $12 per shirt. The shirts will be on sale the entire month of June and may be purchased at the following locations:

–The Helena Exxon

–Mayer Insurance Services

–By George

–Local Helena stores

–Helena Market Days held every Saturday

The Helena Business Association is also accepting vendor applications for those who are interested in setting up at the event. For vendor information and registration, visit Hbahelena.com/vendor-registration.
