A Springfield man with an extensive arrest record was charged with three drug charges after a controlled buy on Tuesday.

The Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Unit (TRU) and Drug Interdiction and Response Team (DIRT) team executed the search warrant for the residence of Elmer B. Perkins Jr., 49, at 505 S. Livingston St.
