Delhi Weather

The diffused system is prevailing over the Northwest Plains in the lower levels wherein the winds are mainly light and are of variable nature. In the upper air, an Anti-Cyclone has set in over the South of Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat.

The Southwest Monsoon has already withdrawn from entire Northwest India and the lower-level wind is also likely to set in as north westerlies soon.

The temperatures are likely to remain close to the normal or can be marginally above. Due to the light winds, the hazy sky will prevail at many places with isolated mist to be seen near the water belt areas. Days will be mainly sunny and a marginal drop in night temperature is possible in pockets.

Delhi and adjoining cities may witness unhealthy pollution levels during peak hours. As the lower-level winds are easterlies, therefore much deterioration is not likely during the next two days. However, local factors may help in worsening the situation on a temporary basis.

Al this time, the PM 2.5 is expected to be in the moderate category.

The situation may deteriorate as soon as the stubble burning will start in the Punjab and Haryana region. The change in wind pattern may further help in deterioration and pollution level will spike then.

Rajasthan is likely to witness mostly pleasant weather conditions with a bright sunny sky whereas in Uttar Pradesh day will start with hazy morning with comfortable day conditions. The northwestern parts of Uttar Pradesh may experience marginally cool mornings.
