Rain in Indore

The weather in Indore has relatively been silent compared to the other parts of Madhya Pradesh. Rainfall activity in the city has only been light for almost a week now. The last time that good rain was observed in the city was on August 9 when 78 mm of rain was recorded.

However, in a span of 24 hours from 8.30 am on Tuesday, there has been 22.8 mm of rain in Indore. This pattern of rain (Light to moderate) will continue in the city for the next 48 hours and subside thereafter. But the weather will not go dry completely as light rain will occasionally visit the city.

In view of the weather activity, pleasant conditions are going to prevail in Indore. The day temperature is going to hover around 30 degrees Celsius.

The rain in the city has taken place due to the Low-Pressure Area over East Madhya Pradesh which is now moving west-northwestward. The same system is also giving rain in neighbouring Rajasthan.

Currently, good rains are happening North of Indore in places like Guna and Ujjain where 62 mm and 39 mm of rain has been recorded in the last 24 hours. These places will continue to witness decent weather activity for at least a couple of days more.

Central India for a good two weeks or so has been the centre of weather activity. Flooding rains have been lashing parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. It is due to this weather activity that rainfall in Madhya Pradesh from June 1 to August 14 is normal at 12%.
