In the last 24 hours, Amini recorded 28.0 mm, Agatti 6.0 mm and Minicoy 14.0 mm.

Currently, the low pressure lies over southeast parts of Arabian sea and adjoining parts of coastal Karnataka and Kerala. This system is likely to intensify more during the next 24 hours.

The associated upper air cyclonic circulation is extending up to 5.8 km above sea level. Simultaneously, Southwest Monsoon is also advancing over to Lakshadweep area.

Hence, warm and moist air mass will be continuing over the area which will result in heavy to very heavy rain and thundershower over Lakshadweep islands during next 2 3 days.

The maximum temperatures are likely to fall by 3-4 degrees. While the minimum temperatures will fall by 1-3 degrees.

Places like Ameni, Minicoy, Agatti are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. Therefore, we can say that the sea conditions are likely to be rough and high waves will be seen.
