Rain In Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh

The confluence zone which was earlier over east-central Arabian Sea is seen moving across parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The system at present lies over Odisha to east-central Arabian Sea across South Chhattisgarh, Telangana and North Karnataka. The system has already given scattered rain and thundershower activities over parts of Chhattisgarh like Bilaspur, Mana whereas light rains were seen over Raipur, Pendra and Ambikapur with strong gusty winds. Isolated rain and thundershower activities were witnessed over East Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal, Jabalpur and Sidhi have already witnessed wet spells.

The system is now moving eastward, thus Madhya Pradesh will now witness very less weather activity. However, the southern parts of Chhattisgarh will continue to observe some good activity. According to meteorologists at Skymet, in the next 24 hours the entire state will begin to see intermittent rain with squalls and lightning strikes at few places.

The day temperatures have already dropped in both the states and are likely to shoot up again tomorrow onward. The minimums will however drop by a couple of degrees during this period.

February 28 onward, the weather would be completely dry. Another confluence zone which is in the making would once again start giving rains in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh by March 3.
