Adam Lewis has signed a new "long-term" contract at Liverpool, the club have announced.
The 19-year-old left-back is a regular for the U23 team, but has yet to make his senior debut for the club.
It is understood that he had previously attracted interest from Rangers having been the captain of the Liverpool U18 side while Steven Gerrard was in charge.
Lewis, who can also operate in midfield, has been capped by England at U19 and U20 level.
He featured for England U19s at the 2018 European Championship, where England failed to advance from their group.
