Neil Warnock says Cardiff's dealings with agency USM are above board

Neil Warnock believes his side were unfairly denied a penalty in the Huddersfield draw

Neil Warnock says he is sorry his son James has been mentioned in press reports concerning Cardiff's dealings with agency Unique Sports Management (USM).

Cardiff players Sean Morrison and Rhys Healey are on USM's books, and the link between the agency and the Premier League club has been highlighted in recent media reports.

James Warnock works for USM - and the reports have claimed that his position may come under scrutiny.

But Warnock said: "I feel sorry for James, if I'm honest.

"Morrison was mentioned. We turned down £5m from Sheffield Wednesday, so I think it was a sensible thing to put him on a longer contract.

"Rhys Healey was mentioned, who is an up-and-coming lad, who I think has a good future in the game.

"It mentioned me signing (Wilfried) Zaha at Palace. I don't think that was a bad signing for six million really, when he is worth about 60 now."

Warnock recently suggested there was a 'vendetta' against him in some parts of the media but he said on Friday: "That was probably the wrong word.

"I just think a couple of journalists over the last 15 years ... when I look at the columns they have written.

"It is not just journalism, but hey-ho."
