IS someone stealing plants from Taunton town centre?
Taunton residents have been left wondering this question just a few short weeks after planters were filled in the town centre.
The planters have been place on St James Street to stop traffic using the road as part of the council's pedestrianisation plans.
But shortly after the large pots were filled with plants - they are already starting to dwindle.
AFTER: The planters after some plants were taken
One Taunton resident fears the plants are being stolen.
She said: "They look a mess, they were lovely.
"Someone has stolen them, some bugger is taking them.
"Every time I walk past there another one gone.
"Why do they have to do this?"
She added: "It's frustrating because the council is trying to make Taunton look nice.
"You can see each day a new plant is gone.
"They are expensive plants. I bet someone's garden is looking nice."
