THE owner of a gift shop in Taunton which closed 'for good' has decided to re-open.
Catherine Esbester has decided to reverse her decision to shut up shop at the Ginger Fig, in Bath Place.
She ceased trading from the premises in March - two months ahead of the original planned closure date in May.
Announcing the plan to open up again, Ms Esbester said: "Obviously, I don’t know when or for how long, but I am determined not to end my lovely business in such an abrupt way."
The outlet, which also featured a gallery for local artists and craftspeople to showcase their talents, has been based in Bath Place for 12 years.
At the time of the closure, she told the County Gazette: "Don’t despair as it is my current thinking that Ginger Fig will continue in some form or other - almost definitely online, and very probably at certain events or in occasional pop-up form."
But she is now preparing to welcome the public back after the coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
