Construction work progressing on £multi-million Taunton development
WORK is progressing on a multi-million pound development in the heart of Taunton.
Construction is continuing on the Coal Orchard project in the area of the Brewhouse Theatre.
The framework of this building can now be seen in the sealed off area on the former car park.
Contractor Midas is working with Somerset West and Taunton Council to revamp the Coal Orchard site.
The scheme will be a mix of homes, shops and restaurants once completed, in a bid to rejuvenate the riverside area of Taunton.
The project will feature a total of 42 one- and two-bedroom flats, shops, restaurants, offices and a gym.
