Folk rock band Fairport Convention have officially confirmed that Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant will perform in Bath in February.

Rumours have been circling that the rock icon was going to be making an appearance, after he performed in Shropshire on 25 January.

Plant is the lead singer of a new band called Saving Grace, who had their first gig as a supporting act for Fairport Convention.

Fairport Convention have three upcoming gigs - including one at The Forum in Bath - which led to speculation that Plant would be rejoining them for more performances.

After keeping fans waiting, the band's team have finally confirmed that Saving Grace will be rejoining them for gigs in Bath, Basingstoke, and St Albans.

Plant will be coming to Bath on 16 February.

Fairport Convention's bassist Dave Pegg said “Robert Plant will be singing on three of our tour dates with a fab newly-formed band

called Saving Grace."

Robert is a long-time friend of Fairport and it will be great to have him with us on some of our tour dates.”
