Commuters travelling into Bath have been warned to expect delays this morning (June 7) due to urgent works.

From 9.30am, one lane of the A4 London Road will be closed approaching the A36 Cleveland Place.

Bath and North East Somerset Council has issued the warning, saying BT needs to carry out “urgent” works to “faulty phone lines.”

It says to “expect delays to city bound traffic.”

Traffic could be further affected over the coming days, with works expected to take three days to complete.
