Harris appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Thursday (August 22) for a further case management hearing.

He was released on bail after the short hearing, before a trial is due to begin on November 25.

Another further case management hearing has also been set for September 16.

Police carried out a "rigorous search" of the Merlin Drive property after the incident, and subsequently charged Harris.

In May, a police spokesman said: "Officers from our Major Crime Investigation Team charged David James Harris, of Merlin Drive, with Jonathan’s murder.

"Harris was also charged with Section 18 wounding in relation to the assault of another man, aged 40, during the same incident."
