A brand new builders merchant in Yeovil has said the new branch is "state-of-the-art".

MKM Building Supplies opened its doors on August 5, and offers a wide-range of building essentials for roofing, joinery, timber supplies, kitchens and bathrooms.

The new branch has opened on Lufton Trading Estate and has created 22 jobs for the town.

A spokesman for MKM said: "The branch offers a range of services including under floor heating, roofing take off, a brick matching service, as well as free measure and 3D design services for kitchens and bathrooms.

"MKM Yeovil is headed up by an experienced industry trio, including Paul Costello, Nathan Cassidy and Mike Towill all with many years expertise working within the trade.

"Paul Costello has 42 years industry experience, having spent his early career at a local timber merchant and over 30 years with a local builders merchant."

Mr Costello said: “It is fantastic to open MKM’s doors in Yeovil."

"The company has become known in the trade as a merchant with family values which I really like and relate to.”

Mr Cassidy said: "I’m delighted to be joining the new team who have all worked incredibly hard to create an exceptional retail experience."

David Kilburn, executive chairman of MKM added: “Our team at Yeovil is very experienced and has an in-depth understanding of what trade customers need and will provide a customer service that is second to none.

"As in all of our branches customers can be guaranteed excellent stock availability, and an extensive product range and our team is always on hand to offer advice about the best solutions for DIY, building projects and installations.”
