Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare and Minehead have all made it onto a list of the UK’s 10 worst seaside resorts.

A Which? survey of 100 resorts asked 3,000 people to rate destinations based on value for money, its seafront, scenery, and attractions.

But Somerset beaches appear to have “failed to keep pace with trendier destinations.”

Burnham-on-Sea came in at 49 marks out of 100, landing it third worst on the list, as reported by the Mirror.

While Weston-super-Mare came in sixth on the list with 53 points.

Minehead just scored a spot with 56 marks.

No Somerset beaches made it onto the top 10 list.

Rory Boland, Which? travel editor, said: “These ratings won’t make happy reading for some of those destinations many of us remember from childhood breaks of times gone by.

“They may have failed to keep pace with trendier destinations or those offering a better overall experience for our hard-earned cash.

“But whether you fancy blowing out the cobwebs in Bamburgh, pottering around in Portmeirion or taking your bucket and spade to St Mawes, it’s clear that the Great British seaside has something for everyone.”
