Here are the details of people convicted at Taunton Magistrates' Court from June 14 onwards.

Magistrates deal with more than 90 per cent of criminal cases including low-level offences such as assaults and motoring charges.

June 14

Adam Lilley, 25, of Rowan Drive, Taunton, was found guilty of lying he owned a Yamaha LG08 AHC, which belonged to another person, in order to sell the bike. He was issued a community order and ordered to pay £400 in compensation and court costs of £250.

Alistair Allison, 52, of Wootton Courtenay, Minehead, was caught speeding at 97mph on A303 in September 2018. He was banned from driving for 14 days and ordered to pay a £880 fine, costs of £85 and a £88 victim surcharge.

Chris Anelay, 34, of Church Street, Highbridge, failed to identify a driver, alleged to be in connection with an offence, when asked by a police officer. His driving licence was endorsed with six points and he was ordered to pay a £180 fine and a £30 victim surcharge.

Sidenei Dos Santos Lima, 34, of Watermans Meadow, Wembdon, was caught driving without valid insurance. His driving licence was endorsed with six points and he was ordered to pay a £242 fine, costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.

Martyn Thomas, 47, of Weavers Reach, Wellington, was caught speeding on A361 Fore Street in Othery in December 2018. He was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay a £269 fine, costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.

June 17

Daniel Sandford, 29, of Bridge Street, Taunton, failed to comply with the requirements of a community order. He was ordered to pay costs of £70.

Bryan Lionel Vowles, 47, of Maysgreen Lane, Weston-super-Mare, failed to stop his vehicle when asked by a police officer. He was ordered to pay a £120 fine and a £30 victim surcharge.

Oliver Webber, 33, of Martlands Close, Woolavington, failed to stop at a red traffic light on the A38 in Taunton. His driving licence was endorsed with three points and he was ordered to pay a £153 fine, costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.

June 18

Korey Fouracre, 23, of Lime Tree Square, Street, damaged CCTV belonging to an individual. He was issued a one-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £112.43 and a £20 victim surcharge.

June 19

Ricky Cole, 36, of Georgina Avenue, Coseley, was caught drink driving in Minehead in March 2019. She was banned from driving for nine months, issued a community order and also ordered to pay court costs of £415 and a £85 victim surcharge.

Ian Wylde, 31, of Yorkley, Lydney, pleaded guilty the assault of a man in Minehead. He was ordered to pay a £128 fine, court costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.

Michelle Sowden, 40, of Bristol Road, Bridgwater, stole £642.45 from Canon Street Dental Centre. She was issued a community order and ordered to pay £642.45 in compensation and court costs of £85.

Melanie Walsh, 47, of Silver Street, Taunton, stole a North Face hooded jumper from JD Sports. She also admitted to failing to comply with a previous community order. She was ordered to pay a £20 fine and £30 victim surcharge.

Joseph Wakefield, 25, of Horsefall Street, Brixham, stole £60 worth of scratch cards from Costcutter. He was issued a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £60 in compensation.

Brendan Walding, 25, of Allington Road, Taunton, damaged the windscreen of a vehicle belonging to an individual. He was issued a community order and ordered to pay a £85 victim surcharge.
