Three people remain under investigation after a serious altercation on Meadow Road in Yeovil.
A person was rushed to hospital after reports that an unknown, 'possibly corrosive', substance had been thrown during an incident on Meadow Road on March 21.
A total of five people were arrested following the incident.
It has been confirmed today (August 6) that no further action has been taken against two of the group, but two men and one woman remain under investigation more than four months after the attack took place.
What happened on Meadow Road?
Police say officers were called to an "altercation" which took place between several people on Meadow Road at 1pm on Thursday, March 21.
One person was taken to hospital after reports of an "unknown, possibly corrosive, substance thrown", according to a police spokesman.
A large area on Meadow Road was cordoned off by police as investigations took place at the scene.
Local reports indicate the incident may have been an "acid attack".
Avon and Somerset Constabulary has not confirmed what the substance was.

High speed police chase drama
At around midnight the same day, a "high speed chase" involving a motorbike and the police was spotted by residents.
The police helicopter was also seen circling and in the early hours of the following day, officers with torches were spotted searching the nearby Birchfield Park.
A police spokesman later confirmed that all of these incidents had been "connected with a search for those involved in the earlier altercation on Meadow Road".
A local resident described what they saw and heard that night.
They said: "I live at the end of St. John’s Road by the Lyde Road roundabout and heard all the noise.
"I then saw a high speed chase go down towards the Yellow Wagtail and then the bike circled and came down and around again.
"There was lots of noise, this was about 12.30am, and then the police helicopter was out for about an hour looking."
Three remain under investigation
A total of five arrests have been made so far in connection with this incident.
Three people remain under investigation.
They are:
- A 35-year-old man
- A 37-year-old man
- A 27-year-old woman
Investigation continues
A large-scale investigation took place in the area after the incident.
House-to-house enquiries took place, and specialist crime scene investigators examined the scene.
