Wes Brown, Keith Gillespie, Sammy McIlroy and Frank Stapleton will be amongst the Manchester United Legends team who take on Taunton Town Legends next month.

The Red Devils old guard has been announced for what promises to be a special occasion at the Viridor Stadium on April 7.

Their opponents are being assembled by FA Vase-winning captain Paul West and record appearance holder Tony Payne.

Arthur Albiston (1974-1988) - A former Scotland left-back.

Russell Beardsmore (1986-1993) - The midfielder played in the early part of the Alex Ferguson era

Derek Brazil (1988-1992) - The former Republic of Ireland U21 defender was signed by Big Ron Atkinson

Wes Brown (1996-2011) - The centre-back won two Champions Leagues with the Red Devils before joining Sunderland

Chris Casper(1993-1998) - After coming through the youth system with the likes of David Beckham and Paul Scholes, the defender only played twice for the senior ream and retired at 24 due to a broken leg

Michael Clegg (1995-2002) - The defender won the FA Youth Cup in 1995 and made nine appearances for first team

Nick Culkin (1997-2002) - The goalkeeper made his one and only Premier League appearance in 1999 after replacing Raimond van der Gouw

Chris Eagles(2003-2008) - Still only 33, the attacking midfielder played six times for Utd before moving to Burnley

Keith Gillespie (1993-1995) - The Northern Ireland winger only had two seasons at senior level at Old Trafford before becoming a Newcastle United star

Deiniol Graham (1987-1991) - The striker played twice for the first team before moving to Barnsley

Lee Martin(1998-1994) - Scored the winner in the 1990 FA Cup final replay against Crystal Palace

Sammy McIlroy (1971-1982) - Signed by Sir Matt Busby, the Northern Ireland midfielder scored 71 goals in 419 appearances

Ben Thornley(1993-1998) - The talented youngster made his Utd debut at 18 but his career was blighted by injury

Danny Webber(1998-2003) - The promising striker couldn't break into the first team during the glory years and moved to Watford

Frank Stapleton(1981-1987) - Signed from Arsenal in 1981, the Republic of Ireland forward won the FA Cup with Utd in 1983 and 1985
