Liam Driscoll is Darren Sarll's latest signing since taking over as manager of Yeovil Town.

The goalkeeper has arrived at Huish Park on a half-season loan until January from Championship club Reading.

The 20-year-old Australian should provide competition for Stuart Nelson, who appears to be Sarll's first-choice number one.

Having started out at Perth Glory in his home country, Driscoll joined the Royals in 2015. After a successful loan spell with Staines Town he became the starter for Reading Under-23s in 2017/18.

The 6ft 4ins stopper went on loan to Hungerford Town and Salisbury last season.

Sarll said: "Liam's a young player who's ready to take this next step in his development. He's impressed in training and has all the attributes required to develop into a fantastic goalkeeper, and now has the chance to learn off of someone as experienced and dedicated as Nels."

The Glovers' other Summer recruits so far have been defenders Thomas Bradbury, Lee Collins and Luke Wilkinson, strikers Rhys Murphy and Albi Skendi, midfielder Tom Whelan and winger Miles Hippolyte.

Yeovil get their Vanarama National League campaign under way on Saturday away at Barnet.
