In terms of preparation for their return to non-league football, the current situation is far from ideal for Yeovil Town.

The Glovers haven't had a permanent manager since sacking Darren Way in March, they've had no manager at all since Neale Marmon left a month ago and there is uncertainty over who will own the club by the time the 2019/20 campaign starts.

They currently only have 13 players in their senior squad with the need to start pre-season training fast approaching.

Despite all this, bookmakers still thing the Green & White have a decent chance of bouncing straight back into the English Football League (EFL).

They 10/1 joint 4th favourites with Bet Victor to win the 2019/20 Vanarama National League and they are best-price 9/1 joint 6th favourites to get promoted.

Notts County, who went down from League Two with Yeovil, are favourites for promotion (best price 4.5/1) and are well fancied to top the table in the process.

According to the bookies, Chesterfield will also be battling it out in the upper reaches along with AFC Fylde, who lost to Salford City in the play-off final this season but won the FA Trophy.

The likes of Wrexham and Solihull Moors, who were both beaten in the play-offs, are expected to do well.

Newly promoted Stockport County and Torquay Utd, who won National League North and South respectively, are predicted to have solid campaigns.

If the odds are anything to go by, it looks like being a tough season for Boreham Wood, Woking, Chorley, Halifax Town, Barrow and Maidenhead.

Not many bookmakers are offering any odds on suspended Gateshead, who were in danger of going bust but are now going through a takeover.

If they appeal their suspension and are successful, they will be in the National League's top tier again next season.
