This was the day the winless run finally camed to an end for Bath Rugby.
They hadn't felt that special feeling for seven matches and had only been victorious twice in their 11 games in all competitions this season.
The Premiership Rugby Cup was been parked for three rounds of Gallagher Premiership action.
Worcester Warriors, who were 7th in the table before kick-off, were the visitors.
Elliott Stooke was released by England, started for the hosts in the second row and was man of the match.
Here's all the build-up, match action and reaction as Bath beat the Warriors 28-13...
Key Events
Score change!
So, apparently, Freddie Burns didn’t get the final conversion, which he drop-kicked. The final score has changed to 28-13! Annoying.
The updated table
After Saracens came back to beat Sale 31-25 and Northampton Saints beat Wasps 36-17, here’s how the league table looks...
IT'S ALL OVER!
That’s all, folks. Maxwell-Keys blows his whistle. Bath have won a game. They made hard work of it and, given the amount of territory, possession and set-piece dominance they should have wrapped it up and got the bonus point. But, it’s a much-needed win.
FINAL SCORE: Bath Rugby 30 Worcester Warriors 13
Drama at the death
The crowd go wild as McConnochie finds space down the left and offloads to Roberts, whose pass is batted into touch. They attack off the lineout in search of the bonus point, Wright sends Rokoduguni away down the right but the pass it forward.
TRY BATH! Stooke on the hard line!
After umpteen phases Bath finally get the breakthrough. Rokoduguni goes close, Stooke runs a hard line and Fotuali’i sends him through the hole. Game sealed. Burns adds the extras.
Bath 30 Worcester 13
Another chance wasted
Bath catch and drive, but it goes to ground 5m short. They hammer away from close range but they’re pinged for holding on in front of the posts.
Good touches
McConnochie gets into the action straight away as Vuna feeds him down the left. He cuts inside and presents the ball well. Bath keep possession for a good 8-10 phases but the attack is unimaginative and easily defended.
Heem on the charge
Worcester get the ball wide and Heem is barreling down the left wing before he’s well-tackled by Homer. Stern defence forces a knock-on.
Lewis pounces
Bath stick with their tactic of keeping the attack tight and it backfires. Lewis forces a penalty for holding on in the Worcester 22m.
Mistake
Burns kicks a penalty to the corner but it goes dead. He needs to cut that kind of mistake out. Luckily, a big Bath scrum wins another penalty.
Lineout dominance
Bath have bossed the lineout today. Stooke, Attwood, Ellis and Douglas have stolen or spoiled nearly every Worcester throw.
Triple sub for Bath
The front row are replaced en masse. Van Rooyen, Walker and Perenise are on for Catt, Dunn and Thomas.
Chance missed
There’s a lot of same way play for Bath after Homer makes an initial dent. Warriors are up to the task in defence. Bath go right through Attwood and then Stooke, but the latter knocks on in heavy traffic.
Spin
Burns punts a ball with the outside of his right boot. It has horrible spin on it and Heem knocks on. Bath have a scrum just inside the 22m with a full openside to attack into.
Attendance
The attendance today is 14,072. The capacity of the Rec is 14,503. Not bad for an early kick-off when the Autumn internationals are on.
PENALTY Worcester! Not rolling
Bath are under pressure as Worcester go in search of a try to get back into this. Garvey tackles and is sandwiched in a ruck. Weir punishes from the tee.
Bath 23 Worcester 13
Instant impact from Douglas
Douglas comes on for Ellis and pulls off a crucial lineout steal. Instant impact.
Burns is down
Burns takes a big hit and play goes on as he gets treatment. Bath make the mistake of kicking the ball away when they only have 14 men. Worcester counter through Heem, Pennell and Humphreys to take play to the Bath 22m. The TMO is checking whether a Bath player deliberately knocking the ball into touch after tackling Weir. Penalty Worcester.
