Long range counter-attacks, sweeping strike moves and powerful charges up the middle.

The University of Bath's 1st XV have scored all kinds of tries in what has been a very successful season so far.

Now they are three matches from being crowned BUCS Super Rugby champions for the first time.

The team which has a partnership with Bath Rugby Academy and includes a number of academy players finished third out of ten universities during the regular season.

After 18 matches Uni of Bath won 12, lost six. They were five points behind leaders Exeter University and one point behind Hartpury but did the double over both of them.

Now they are preparing to take on Durham University in the knockout quarter-final at the Sports Training Village tomorrow evening (6.30pm). If they get all the way to the final they would get to play at Twickenham.

At home, Team Bath have plundered 32 tries in nine games, including scores by Bath Academy full-back Wil Partington, back-rower Jack Davies and hooker and uni captain Tom Doughty.
