England take on West Indies looking to consolidate a place in the top four of the Cricket World Cup round-robin group.

The squad led by Eoin Morgan have won two matches out of three as they head to the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Their opponents are 6th having won one, lost one and had one match abandoned due to rain.

Thousands will be heading into town for the third of five round-robin encounters at the home of Hampshire County Cricket, which is due to start at 10.30am.

Three matches have already been called off in the tournament due to bad weather, but the forecast is more positive today.

There will be some road closures at certain times in Southampton due to the match.

England win the toss

England have won the toss and elected to bowl

The wicket has been under covers for the last 24 hours and we predict there might be a bit of moisture in early on, so hopefully we can take advantage of that. The World Cup is all about turning up on the day, adapting to conditions and hopefully winning. Eoin Morgan

Road closures

There will be traffic management arrangements in place, temporary road signs and parking restrictions in place close to the stadium, with some residential areas being temporarily coned off.

Botley Road (B3035), from the Moorgreen Road roundabout to the Tollbar Way roundabout, will be closed.

The diversion route will be Tollbar Way-Charles Watts Way-Moorhill Road before terminating at Church Hill with access to B3035 (High Street, West End) for West End Village only.

Access will be maintained for residents and businesses throughout the closure except for about 90 minutes after the match finishes (estimated 6pm) to allow fans to leave the Ageas Bowl safely.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive in plenty of time to allow for enhanced security checks that will be carried out.

We are delighted to welcome the players, officials, media and of course the cricket fans from so many different countries to the borough to enjoy our prestigious and world class cricket venue. I hope everyone enjoys the ICC World Cup cricket in our borough.
