The world-famous Pyramid Stage is Glastonbury Festival's biggest and most well-known venue, and it has played host to some of the most memorable moments in modern music history.

Often one of the most varied and eclectic line-ups at the festival, the offering in 2019 has everything from grime, to rock, to a Methodist choir.

It is estimated that the field has a capacity of around 100,000, although there is likely to have been more for huge acts in past years like The Rolling Stones, Lionel Richie and Dolly Parton.

The biggest crowd of the weekend is often for the Sunday teatime "legend slot" on the Pyramid Stage, and we think this will be no different in 2019 when Kylie Minogue takes to the stage.

This year the line-up also includes huge acts like The Killers, The Cure, Stormzy, George Ezra, Miley Cyrus and Liam Gallagher.

Take a look at our guide to everything you need to know about the Pyramid Stage below.

Nearest bars

There are a number of bars near to the Pyramid Stage.

If you are on the left hand side (looking towards the stage) the cider bus is your nearest watering hole.

The bus, equally as famous as the Pyramid Stage itself, has sold apple-based wares from the Burrow Hill orchards at the festival since 1970, including traditional Somerset scrumpy, as well as warm mulled cider and cider-based cocktails.

There is also a traditional bar run by the Workers Beer Company selling a wide variety of drinks.

If you are on the right hand side (looking towards the stage), there is a large bar on the other side of the Pyramid Stage hedgeline, on the edge of the Hawkwell campsite.

Pro tips

The Pyramid Stage field is a huge natural amphitheatre, so you will have a good view from wherever you stand.

It is thought that the better view is from the right hand side (looking towards the stage).

There are two bushes about halfway up the field on the right hand side, where the ground rises up, and there is always a good view from around this area of the crowd.

There is a U-shaped crush barrier around 20 metres from the main front barrier at the Pyramid Stage.

So to get very near to the front, you need to head to the side of the crowd and then cut across to get in front of the crush barrier.

The best time to do this is when the crowd is leaving and filtering out from the act beforehand.
