Noel Gallagher has trolled Lewis Capaldi ahead of the Scottish star's performance at the Glastonbury Festival.

Ex-Oasis star Gallagher posted a video to his Twitter account in which he shows his 11-year-old son Donovan mockingly singing Capaldi's number one hit Someone You Loved .

Capaldi has yet to respond to Gallagher's video, but has built up somewhat of a reputation of a joker on social media with a series of tweets that have helped to forge his 'funnyman' image.

The 22-year-old will perform on The Other Stage between 4pm and 5pm on the Saturday at Worthy Farm during Glastonbury 2019 later this month.

It is not the first time that Gallagher has become embroiled in a spat with a performer ahead of a slot at Glastonbury.

The High Flying Birds star waged a public war of words with Jay-Z ahead of the rapper's headline slot in 2008, suggesting that festival organisers were 'wrong' to move away from what he called the traditional 'guitar music' normally seen in Pilton.

Jay-Z responded by opening his slot on the Pyramid Stage with Oasis classic Wonderwall .

But hopefully in this case the banter is lighthearted.
