The Roman Baths has said it is working ‘behind the scenes’ on its reopening plan.

The major Bath tourist attraction is currently closed, in line with Government coronavirus lockdown rules. It has not said when it may reopen.

But it has launched special gift tickets for use when it does open its doors again and has tested how social distancing may work.

The Roman Bath’s official Twitter account shared a photo of the team on site this morning.

It said: “Behind the scenes we’ve been busy planning how we can offer a safe and enjoyable experience for our visitors when we reopen.

“Meanwhile we’ve launched a special gift ticket,” it continued.

“Treat someone special (or yourself!) and have something to look forward to.”

Gift tickets are undated and valid for 18 months from the date of purchase. Standard adult gift tickets are £21, with children’s tickets £13.50.

The recipient will need to book a date and time of their choice to visit by emailing the bookings team at romanbaths_bookings@bathnes.gov.uk

All bookings are subject to availability and they recommend booking well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Reservation slots will be available once reopening dates have been confirmed.
