Up-and-coming country duo Lakeview have dropped a brand-new heartbreak anthem, “Rain Down.”

The mid-tempo track, penned by Lakeview’s Jesse Denaro and Luke Healy, details a guy’s resolute to move on coming to naught the moment his old flame shows up. Past feelings get reignited, and he’s left in an emotional dilemma.

“You drive me crazy when you’re fresh out the shower / Thinking maybe, I’ll be better off without you / It’s not the same when you’re not here / You roll in and make it rain down,” Lakeview sing in the chorus, alongside a production that captures their signature country-pop sound.

Accompanying their release is the lyric video that features polaroid-like photos of the duo as well as them performing the tune with their band.

“I’m so proud of how far we’ve come since writing ‘Rain Down,’” Healy shared in a statement. “This video is the perfect reminder of this awesome journey we’ve been on together – one that just keeps getting better and better. All I can do is smile when I watch it.”
