Elkhart County 4-H Fair opens Friday in Goshen

GOSHEN — The Elkhart County 4-H Fair begins Friday and continues through July 27 at 17746 County Road 34.

Highlights include carnival rides, fair food, the dinosaur show “Jurassic Kingdom,” the Wild West show “The Rhinestone Roper,” “Kachunga and the Alligator,” the Youth Agricultural Area, tractor pulls, evening harness races, a demolition derby and a rodeo.

The grandstand also features the following concerts:

• The sibling indie rock band Echosmith on Friday; $20.

• Veteran rock band REO Speedwagon, Saturday; $35.

• Elkhart County native Jordan Kirkdorffer following the 7:30 p.m. Sunday vesper service; free.

• Country musician Jake Owen with Troy Cartwright, Monday; $35.

• Country musician Morgan Wallen and Riley Green, Tuesday; $25.

• The a cappella group Home Free, Wednesday; $25.

Grandstand seating is free for all performances. Ticket prices do not include admission to the fair.

All concerts begin at 8 p.m., unless otherwise noted.

Country musician John King also performs at 7:30 p.m. Friday on the Heritage Park Stage; admission is free.

Admission to the fair is $5 Friday and then $8 online and $10 at the gate for subsequent days; free for ages 9 and younger.
