• Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints (12-1) at Mishawaka Cavemen (12-1), 7 p.m.: Steele Stadium is site for Friday’s 4A Northern Semistate. … Winner meets Saturday’s Marion-Evansville Central winner for state title on Friday, Nov. 23 at 3:30 p.m. in Lucas Oil Stadium where Saints won their fourth state title in 2015 by routing East Central, 37-3. … Cavemen’s last semistate title came in 2012 with 24-21 victory over Concord. … No. 2 Mishawaka, under first-year mentor Keith Kinder, won 10th straight with 28-14 victory over Lowell as 5-foot-7, 175-pound senior RB Christopher Harness rushed for 229 yards and two scores, the last a 77-yarder, and now has 2,642 yards and 26 TDs. … QB Sam Shively has 1,074 yards and team-leading 25 TDs for Cavemen and has six passing TDs in 34 attempts. … No. 6 Saints won fifth straight in ousting Angola, 40-7, and is led by sophomores Brenden Lytle (623 yards, 11 TDs passing) and sophomore RB Devon Tippmann (1,086 yards rushing).

Bremen Lions (11-2) at Eastbrook Panthers (12-1), 7 p.m.: Claws will be out Friday at Freck Field in 2A Northern Semistate. … Winner will meet Saturday’s Western Boone-Southridge winner at Lucas Oil Stadium Friday, Nov. 23 at noon. … No. 11 Bremen, which won state titles in 1989 (1A) and 1994 (2A), is seeking first semistate title since 2011. … Third-year coach Jordan Leeper’s Lions ousted No. 3 Whiting 42-13 last Friday, their fourth straight victory after back-to-back losses to Jimtown and Culver Academy. … QB Ryan Caldwell threw for four TDs (and now has 24 for season), three to Sam Huffman (who has 11 TDs), and RB Nathan Mullen rushed for 183 yards and a touchdown and now has 1,451 yards and 18 TDs. … Jeff Adamson is 267-85 in his 30th season at Eastbrook where he won 2016 semistate. … No. 5 Panthers, who won ninth straight by repelling Lapel 52-21, are led by RB Xaine Kirby, who has rushed for 1,660 yards and 21 TDs.

• Michigan City Wolves (10-2) at New Palestine Dragons (12-0), 4 p.m.: Saturday afternoon’s 5A semistate at Kelso Stadium features two high-scoring machines. … Winner will meet Decatur Central-Columbus East winner at Lucas Oil Stadium for state title at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24. … No. 3 Wolves, in the semistate round for the second consecutive season, won their eighth straight game by eliminating Concord 62-21 for coach Phil Mason, who coached Andrean to 3A state title in 2013. … Michigan City scored 41 first-half points against Minutemen and rushed for 331 yards, 214 coming on 18 carries by Lyric McFarrin. … QB Bryce Hayman threw for 2 TDs, rushing for 69 yards and two more. … No. 1 Dragons, eliminated in sectional, won regional title with 31-7 victory over Harrison (West Lafayette). … Junior running back Charlie Spegal leads state in rushing with eye-popping totals of 2,941 yards and 63 TDs.
