A SERIOUS crash involving a motorbike and a car has left three people in hospital, one with serious injuries.
It happened near the Esso garage on Chepstow Road in Newport at 4.40pm Sunday.
A picture sent to the South Wales Argus showed fire fighters, paramedics and police officers attended.
And today, Gwent Police has confirmed one person has been left with serious injuires as a result.
Two others are also in hospital, with minor injuries.
A witness to the incident said: "It looked like a car turning right across the path of a biker. The biker's ambulance eventually left very, very slowly with a police escort. Airbags had deployed in the car but its occupants were dealt with and gone fairly quickly compared to the poor biker."
A Gwent Police spokesman said: "Anyone with information, including those with potential dash cam footage are asked to please come forward and call 101 quoting log 298 23/09/2018 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
