MONMOUTHSHIRE band Rusty Shackle will be showcasing their latest album when they take to the stage next month.
The band from Caldicot, founded in 2010, have appeared at Glastonbury and Cambridge Folk Festival, have gathered a solid following over the years for their unique brand of indie roots music
Rusty Shackle are just one of the fantastic bands lined-up for Newport’s family-friendly music festival at Rodney Parade on Saturday June 22. They will perform their best-known numbers along with songs from their critically acclaimed recently released album: The Raven, The Thief & The Hangman.
Other headliners include Stereo MC’s, Dr Feelgood, The Karpets, Ska Monkeys, The Darling Buds, Joe Kelly & the Royal Pharmacy.

Rusty Shackle band member, Scott McKeon, said: “We have played in Newport many times over the years and it never disappoints.
“Festivals are always a challenge as you are there to try and win fans over. Playing tours to your own fan base is pretty standard, but we always get a buzz out of winning over a new audience.
“We’ve recently released a new album so we’ll most likely be playing a few tracks off that mixed in with the rest of our foot stompin’ back catalogue.”
Portstock 2019 will also have a range of stalls and activities, meaning there really is something for everyone.
This fabulous festival, successfully debuted at Tredegar Park last year, will be at Rodney Parade and raise funds for Newport-based St David’s Hospice Care.
