FIVE people in Newport had a good start to their weekend - winning £1,000 each on the People's Postcode Lottery.
The neighbours in Upper Tennyson Road were the lucky winners with their postcode NP19 8HR being announced as the daily prize winner on, Friday, May 29.
People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson said: "A huge congratulations to our winners in Newport today - what a way to kick start the weekend! I'm sure the windfall will help lift their spirits and I hope they can treat themselves to something special."

The draw was promoted by Amnesty International UK who have received more than £8.1million in funding to help protect women, men and children wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied.
More than £500million has been raised by players of People's Postcode Lottery as a minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to the charities in the UK and abroad.
