BEDWAS will look to put the disappointment of last weekend behind them when they travel to Swansea in the Principality Premiership.

Financial troubles resulting in a lack of players meant Neath were unable to fulfil their fixture against Stefan Sankala’s side at Bridge Field eight days ago.

Head coach Sankala takes his troops down the M4 to St Helen’s today (kick-off 2.30pm) for a showdown with a team Bedwas are level on points with in the league table.

On Swansea, he said: “Swansea are being really competitive at the moment.

“They’ve had quite a successful last four or five weeks apart from the Cardiff game (they lost 24-5 at the Arms Park last Friday).

“They play a fairly open brand of rugby and that might dictate our defence.

“We know what Swansea can bring. They are dangerous behind the scrum and like to play with a lot of width.

“If they had a bit more of a platform against Cardiff then the result could have been different.

“They still tried to play with width but it was on the back foot.”

Meanwhile, Bargoed will be out to end a four-match losing run today, though they are going to be up against it at Sardis Road in Pontypridd.

The Bulls have conceded 155 points in four successive losses, with 50 of those being scored by Swansea.
