YOUNG people in Carmarthenshire are being offered the opportunity to shape the county’s youth support service.

Children and young people aged between 11 and 25, are being invited to take part in a workshop that will gather views and ideas about youth support services, and the chance to influence decision makers about the kind of services that should be developed in the future.

The workshop, run by qualified youth workers, will take place at Neuadd Y Gwendraeth, Drefach, on Friday, March 22.

Transport, lunch, and refreshments will be provided free of charge.

An action plan will then be put in place, and used to shape the operational plan for the forthcoming year.

Cllr Glynog Davies, Executive Board Member for Youth Services and Youth Ambassador, said: “The voice of young people is important to us and we want to get your views on how things should be done.

“This is an opportunity for you to shape how the service should work with young people in Carmarthenshire.

"It’s a chance to meet new people, work as part of a team, learn new skills and to influence decision makers.

“Following the workshop, there will be opportunities to get involved in other work with the youth support service going forward.”
