This included the largest number of cattle sent over from the Isles of Scilly since 1884!
Top price at £1,170 was a forward Simmental x steer from Messrs. D.R. & B. Badcock of Crowlas.
Half a dozen smart British Blue x 18 month old steers from Messrs. G.W. & H.E. Hawkey of St. Wenn sold to £930 with nice Hereford-sired stores from Messrs. C.J. Osborne & Son of Fraddon the same age reached £905.
Yearling cattle were the highlight of the trade with three pure South Devon steers from Mr. R.K. Rundle of Kestle Mill achieving £900, and a Limousin for Messrs. D.C. & S.A. Martin of Lowertown at £850.
Four cracking Charolais x steers 9/10 months old from the second special spring entry for Messrs. C.R. & I.E. White of Helston topped at £830 with their Charolais x heifers the same age selling to £795.
Yearling Limousin x heifers from Mr. C.P. Rundle of Par reached £675, with young heifers from a nice entry of young single-suckled named-sire Aberdeen Angus cattle down from Mr. J.W.W. Smeeth of Week St. Mary selling to £670.
