STAMFORD — Police say a Bridgeport man jailed for a string of Stratford burglaries has been linked to one here.

Yadriel Martinez, 25, has been charged with attempted second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief. He is being held in lieu of a $400,000 court appearance bond.

Sgt. Sean Scanlan said Martinez and another man were scared off by a Wire Mill Road resident who caught them breaking into the home and a cottage on the property in September. Scanlan said the resident got a clear view of the men who drove off in a Toyota.
