After a brief hiatus, this summer, Glastonbury is back.

With June 26 fast approaching, those lucky enough to have tickets, will be preparing their festival survivor kits, pop up tents and, of course, their super 'grammable looks.

The (hopefully not muddy) fields of Worthy Farm will be awash with trend-led pieces, think cycle shorts and harnesses, which is all well and good, but may we implore you to take at least one simple dress. Come day three, festival fatigue will have set in and you're going to want something easy and comfortable to throw on.

Dresses are just so easy. For packing, a simple roll technique means they'll take up next to no room in your backpack. They're versatile - see rain clouds overhead? Throw on some fleecy tights. And, when it comes to negotiating the Portaloos, they're a far easier option than a playsuit.

Here are five festival-ready dresses to choose from:

1. The neon number

Wear if... You're the friend who always gets lost in the crowds.

Lime green shift dress
Missguided

Neon is big news this summer, so why not choose this lime green shift dress by Missguided (£40). The oversized silhouette makes it the perfect casual look, while the pop of colour means you're sure to stand out from the crowd.

Pair with: Dr Martens and a bumbag.

2. The tie-dye number

Choose if... You're a first time Glasto-goer.

Tie dye dress (Other Stories )
Other Stories

Thanks to the likes of Prada and Dior, tie-dye has made a surprise return this summer. For grown up hippie vibes, you can't go wrong with this slip dress by & Other Stories (£89).

The roots of this print date back to Woodstock in 1969, so it would be a fitting way to pay homage at your first Glastonbury experience.

Pair with: Chunky sandals (weather permitting) and a crossbody bag

3. The floral midi number

Choose if... You're a dancing queen.

Floral pleated dress
Zara

If raving and misbehaving is more your thing then a midi dress is the best bet. Invest in a lightweight material, like this pleated dress from Zara (£39.99), for extra twirling capabilities.

Pair with: Trainers and a cute shoulder bag.

4. The glitzy number

Choose if... You don't do sleep.

Stripe sequin mini cami dress
ASOS

So you're a full steam ahead kind of festivalgoer, then you're going to need a great day-to-night look.

Instead of going back to the tent to change, opt for a sequin number, like this rainbow striped cami dress from ASOS (£40). You'll be sure to shine all day and night.

Pair with: Hiking boots and a mini bag.

5. The prairie number

Choose if... You just want to chill.

Shirred denim dress
Topshop

If you're one of the more relaxed members of the group, a vintage-inspired prairie dress has got you covered.

With its square neckline and puff sleeves, this Topshop denim dress (£35) has got all the stylish details you need, but with guaranteed comfort all day.

Pair with: Lace up boots, mini backpack and a fedora hat.
